My story: if you calculate the amount and time I have already spent in getting a 2 BHK in Amrapali’s silicon city project its way much ahead than the current price of property in the same area.

My story: if you calculate the amount and time I have already spent in getting a 2 BHK in Amrapali’s silicon city project its way much ahead than the current price of property in the same area.

It was March 2011 when I had decided to book a flat in Amrapali’s silicon city with a hope that soon I will be owning my own house and I don’t need to pay rent for living in a city like Delhi but I wasn’t aware of such huge scam in real estate where builders only harass their customers and only gives a bunch of excuses rather than your home.

It’s almost 6 years now since I have booked a flat with Amrapali and I have got nothing in all these years expect a lot of excuses, although Amrapali never replies of my mails or calls, but they never forget to send me text regarding my remaining payment cheques as I have stopped paying them from last 6 to 7 months because I don’t want to pay anymore to them before getting my full possession on my property.

For a rough calculation I have to pay Rs. 10,500 EMI on my home loan and Rs. 16000 as my house rent where I am living right now so the total of these expenses are Rs. 26,500 in a month, multiplying it by 12 is Rs. 3, 18000 a year and as I had booked this flat 6 years back so the total reaches the mark of Rs. 19, 08000 which is more than even the worth of my flat and this cost is excluded with many other expenses like security and other.

The broker through whom I had booked this property is out of reach now as his previous office is locked down and all his contact numbers are switched off since last 2 years. Amrapali is just making fake promises and keeps on extending the deadline of possession. I also gave a visit to the actual project site it only has a raw structure which don’t seem like to be getting completed even in this coming year.

Realty Media’s take

When Sahil Bhatia (victim) contacted realty media about this problem of his, we have tried to contact Amrapali’s corporate office through Mails and Phone but we got no response from the team so we have filed a RTI for the same and hoping for a reply as soon as possible from Amrapali’s officials.
